Statement of Beliefs

Jesus

I believe in the incarnation of Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who was born of the Virgin Mary for the salvation of humanity. I believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that through our belief in Him, salvation from sin and death is gifted to us.

  • John 1:14 – "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

The Trinity

I believe in the Holy Trinity: One God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing and coequal.

  • Matthew 28:19 – "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

The Death + Resurrection of Jesus

I believe in the atoning death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, through whom we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

  • Romans 5:8 – "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures."

The Holy Spirit

I believe in the work and gifts of the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers, empowers them for ministry, and continues to manifest through spiritual gifts today.

  • 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 – "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."

Authority of Scripture

I believe in the authority of Scripture as the inspired and infallible Word of God, which guides the faith and practice of the Church.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16 – "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

Baptism + Communion

I believe in the importance of the sacraments, particularly baptism and Holy Communion, as means of grace that strengthen our union with Christ.

  • Luke 22:19-20 – "And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.’"

  • Romans 6:3-4 – "Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

The Miracle of Deliverance

I believe in the authority given to believers, through Jesus Christ, to cast out demons in His name, as part of the ministry of deliverance.

  • Mark 16:17 – "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues."

  • Mark 9:38-40- “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us."

The Return of Jesus + Hell

I believe in the Second Coming of Christ, when He will return to judge the living and the dead, and establish His eternal kingdom.

  • Acts 1:11 – "This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

  • Matthew 25:31-32 – "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats."

Prophecy and Women in Ministry

  • Acts 2:17 – "‘And it shall come to pass in the last days,’ says God, ‘That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.’"
